My dad had his first chemo 4 lung cancer on may 9th, is it safe for him to mow the yard with a filtering mask?

I wouldn't have him do it. He needs his rest since there is always a possibilty that the fumes from the mower can seep through the mask. Even the slightess smell from grass can trigger something. That so depends on so many things. The first thing I would want to know is what are his blood counts? Does he have any seasonal allergies to the pollen or grass? Call his doctor or your family doctor. If you cant...Help him out and have you,your mom, or a relative mow your lawn until you can ask....
He should be resting. You should mow the yard for him.
